Edge Mill
The Edge Mill has been developed to refinish the edges of the cut-to-size work pieces - normally after they have passed through a wide belt sander for sanding of the lateral surfaces.
The refinishing consists of rounding or chamfering the edges - 2 or 4 edges can be processed simultaneously. Upon mounting of additional equipment the machine edgemills rings and round pieces of solid wood. The machine is able to mill even the most intricate shapes and only exceptionally succeeding sanding is necessary. The machine processes both moulded veneer and solid wood. Infeed of the machine is continuously variable, a feature which facilitates the work of the operator essentially.
Machine settings for different work piece dimensions (width and thichness) take place without any use of tools. All settings are made by handwheel or tightening handles. The machine is as standard equipped with exchangeable carbide-tipped cutters - but diamond-tipped cutters are available on request. Furthermore a foot switch for interupting the cutting operation when necessary is available.
Two types of edge mills have been developed - a standard type of machine and a strengthened model. The standard type of machine rounds or chamfers edges from 1-6 mm, the strengthened model from 1-15 mm.
